In the context of modern architecture, the term spandrel typically refers to the areas where a building's “skeleton” is exposed. Accordingly, the most valued feature of spandrel glass is its ability to mask that which is not meant to be seen. Offering a more integrated alternative to traditional building materials, Glass Dynamics Spandrel Glass products represent the future of architectural design.
Our production method utilizes ceramic frit, applied and then fused to the surface of the glass during the heat treatment process. The resulting opaque glass is up to five times stronger than regular annealed glass and will resist scratching, chipping, peeling, fading and degradation by most chemicals.
